Stanley Lambert Wines – 2005 Lindsay Stanley and Jim Lambert started their partnership over a year ago when the Lambert family from Las Vegas purchased a vineyard in the Barossa Valley. Jim for many years had been interested in wine and wine-making, and Lindsay had been making award winning wines for over 30 years. Over a long, long lunch they agreed to a vision where Lambert quality fruit would be combined with the winemaking expertise of Lindsay. The result would be premium bottled wines to be enjoyed by themselves, friends, and the world.
In July 2005 the changes Stanley and Lambert made were noticeable in the Barossa Valley - from the new signs on the winery to the new labels and some of the names on the bottles. Experts were brought in to help create a vineyard making excellent quality fruit with the high standards set by ISO guidelines.
Stanley Lambert wines have been busy redeveloping the market in the USA, while retaining their following in restaurants and markets around the world. The framework is a unique one that does not exist for any other small wine Company in Australia. The emphasis is based on family business and getting the absolute highest quality wine to customers as directly as possible without using the traditional channels while keep the final costs as low as possible.
Currently Stanley and Lambert are excitedly awaiting the release of the first two vintages of the best fruit from the Lambert Estate Vineyard (from 2004 and 2005 harvests), which is maturing in the new best American oak. The first vintage is expected to be released in the next year.
